As you have hopefully deduced by looking at the title of the lab, the name of the cycle is the carbon cycle. Carbon is constantly being moved around the Earth through the processes that make up the Carbon Cycle. You will see in later labs just how important this relatively small concentration of CO 2 is with expect to Earth’s energy balance, but for now we need to focus on the cycle in which atmospheric CO 2 is involved.
